All about speakers (speaker/receiver)
A loudspeaker, also called a speaker or receiver, ensures that the sound from the hearing aid is conducted to the ear. This indispensable part of a hearing aid often consists of a small silver, red or blue rod on which the dome (rubber cap) is placed.
It can sometimes happen that moisture or earwax gets into the speaker or the cord, causing the hearing aid to suddenly stop working or to work less well. Therefore, first try our cleaning and maintenance tips to follow before purchasing new parts or sending the hearing aid in for repair.
I need a new speaker
If your hearing aid is no longer working, your speaker may need replacing. Not sure which one you need? Look up the brand of your hearing aid on the quote and then follow the instructions below to choose the right speaker.
Which speaker do I have?
If you already have a hearing aid with a speaker that you are happy with, you can check which type you have. You do this by removing the dome (rubber cap) from the end of the speaker. After removing the dome, you will see a letter and a number. For example, M1 or P3 (wipe away any dirt for better readability). This indicates the strength of the speaker and the length of the cord.
In our webshop you will find an overview of all speakers . Find the brand of the hearing aid and then select the length and strength. Do not forget to order a left and right speaker.
I can't see which speaker I have
It may happen that you have lost your current speaker, the marking on the speaker is not legible or that you are not satisfied with the length of the cord. In that case, first select the brand in our hearing aid overview on this page. In this overview, we explain per brand how you can choose the speaker that fits the hearing aid and ear.
