Key Impact Results
Since 1998, we have been working hard as a family business to achieve our vision: to make good hearing accessible to everyone in the world. But what exactly does this entail? Discover our projects and the impact we make.
Some of the impact we have made, thanks to our customers:
Over 130 people trained in Audiometry. It starts with better education. For example, we teach audiometry and teach people how to conduct hearing tests, make earmolds and repair hearing aids.
Over 2000 hearing aids donated. For every hearing aid sold, we donate to the Nepal Foundation for better hearing worldwide. In recent years, we have also made major contributions to other projects where we donated and installed hearing aids in faraway countries.
More than 6600 people in third world countries helped to better hearing. The combination of donating hearing aids, providing training and fitting hearing aids in Nepal makes better hearing accessible to as many people as possible.
2023 Audiological trip to Nepal
In March 2023, two audiologists from Online-HearingAids traveled to Nepal. Together with some local activists, we organized a hearing week. During this hearing week, we visited a different village every day. The local population was called upon to report if they had hearing problems and we helped all kinds of residents with hearing tests and hearing aids. In addition, we were also able to dig all kinds of water wells through a crowd funding campaign.
2018 to present Nepal
For every hearing aid sold on our website, we donate to Child Welfare Organisation Nepal (CWON). In addition, we collect old hearing aids and refurbish them to donate to CWON. In 2023, a group of audiologists from Online-HearingAids went to Nepal. We taught audiometry there to teach the local population how to independently set, adjust and repair hearing aids.
2002 Indonesia
Project Bertha Muller School With Former Teacher
For this project we collected hearing aids for 2 schools for the hearing impaired in Indonesia. This was in combination with material to make ear molds and batteries for hearing aids. This was in collaboration with a former teacher at the Bertha Muller School in Utrecht, the Netherlands, which is now called the Auris Fortaal school in Utrecht.
1998 Kenya
Project Eardrop Foundation
According to the Novib method, our impact starts with “better education”. In collaboration with Stichting Eardrop, we taught audiometry and taught people how to perform their own hearing tests, make earmolds and repair hearing aids themselves. The focus of this initiative was on children with poor hearing.
