Pairing Starkey hearing aids to the app
How do I connect my Starkey hearing aids to my iPhone?
- Make sure Bluetooth® is enabled on your iOS device. In the Settings menu, go to Bluetooth and switch the option to On.
- Find the Settings icon on your iOS device and tap on it.
- In the Settings menu, go to General > Accessibility > Hearing Aids.
- Open and close the battery door of your hearing aid while the iOS device is searching for the hearing aids. If you have a rechargeable hearing aid, place the hearing aid in the charger and take it out again: The hearing aids will now enter "pairing mode". This allows the hearing aids to be paired.
- When the iOS device recognizes the hearing aids, you will see the name of your hearing aid (e.g. "Paul Hearing aids") on the screen. When prompted to pair the hearing aid, agree.
- If your name doesn't appear in the Devices list within 5-7 seconds: Tap Accessibility in the top left corner, then tap MFi Hearing Devices.
How do I connect my Starkey hearing aids to my Android phone?
- Find and tap the Settings icon on your phone.
- Select Bluetooth®.
- If Bluetooth appears to be off in this screen, change the setting to On. Then open and close the battery door on your hearing aids (this will allow the hearing aids to pair)
- Under Paired Devices, you will see your first name followed by hearing aid (e.g. Michelle Hearing Aid) once the device recognizes your hearing aids. If your name does not appear in the Devices list within 5-7 seconds, tap Accessibility in the upper left corner, then tap Hearing Aids.
- Tap the name of the hearing aid to pair the hearing aid with your device.
- The devices are now paired.
