What types of hearing aids does Starkey have?
Starkey has a suitable hearing solution for every type of hearing loss:
- Let’s start with the starkey device which is by far the most commonly chosen by our clients. With this device, the sound comes through a speaker in the ear. These are the so-called Receiver in the Canal devices (RIC). RIC hearing aids sit partially behind the ear and are worn by people with moderate hearing loss. An example of a RIC device is the Starkey Evolv AI 2400 RIC – rechargeable.
- With behind-the-ear hearing aids, sound comes through a cord, thin tube or tubing. This Tube goes over the top of your ear and runs into your ear canal. These devices are made for people with severe hearing loss. An example of one of these devices is the Starkey Evolv AI 2400 BTE. This device is also rechargeable!
- In the ear canal (ITC) are custom-made hearing aids that fit inside the ear canal. A small part of this device protrudes from the ear canal, but this is almost invisible if you don’t pay attention to it. This device is made for people who do not want to wear a hearing aid behind their ear, but still want to use Bluetooth. People sometimes call this type of device wearables because it does not look like a hearing aid. For this device, think of the Starkey Evolv 2000 ITC.
- Completely In The Ear (CIC). These are very small hearing aids that sit deep in the ear. CIC’s are almost always invisible. For these devices, consider the Starkey Evolv AI 2400 CIC. This is the first hearing aid with 2.4 GHz. That means this CIC hearing aid is equipped with Bluetooth and can therefore stream audio with a smartphone. This was previously not possible with CIC hearing aids. This device is now only available in a battery variant, but please note, Soon we will also be able to supply it in a rechargeable variant!

Latest Evolv AI models and Thrive app for physical and mental health
Starkey is the first brand with an app that not only helps adjust your hearing aid but also offers the ability to track body and brain health. Most fitness, tracking devices use the wrist, but the ear provides much more accurate data. Hearing health has been proven to be directly linked to the overall health and well-being of your brain. This means that people who can hear well are better engaged with the world around them and can therefore lead better and healthier lives. Ever-increasing evidence shows that treating hearing loss with hearing aids can improve or limit some serious health problems, such as cognitive decline and dementia.
With Evolv Ai, people of all ages can proactively manage their overall well-being. Sensors in the hearing aids detect movements, activities and various gestures. The hearing aids then communicate with each other and multiple accessories to provide meaningful benefits beyond traditional amplification. You will not only hear better, but also live better thanks to real-time feedback on your overall body and cognitive fitness. Now you have the ability to easily track your body and brain health with your smartphone and the complete Thrive Hearing app. Compatible with both Android and Apple smartphones, the Thrive app offers you a Body Score, a Brain Score and an overall score that combines both, called a Thrive Wellness Score.
