The Signia Styletto IX 5-R is more affordable than the Styletto IX 7-R, but has less technical quality. In particular, noise reduction, speech intelligibility and wind suppression are not as good as the IX 7-R.

The Signia Styletto IX 5-R really does a great job in crowded environments thanks to its RealTime Conversation Enhancement technology and Signia Integrated Xperience. Even during meetings, where the speaker is some distance away, everything remains clearly audible. Music quality is good, although slightly less than the Signia Silk IX. We did notice something to be aware of while charging the hearing aids. On the bottom of the hearing aids are small gold plates that they use to contact the charger. These do get sensitive to dirt and skin oils, which can make them less likely to make contact with the charger. We recommend cleaning the hearing aids with a cloth every evening before placing them in the charger. For optimal maintenance, we recommend alcohol wipes.
