About the Oticon Opn S hearing aid

With Oticon's Opn S series, the Danish company has reached a new level of innovation, namely the models made-for iPhone. Also, the Opn S works with so-called directional microphones to amplify mostly voices coming from the front just like the previous Oticon Opn platform. In addition, Oticon works with the theory to allow voices from other places in the room to come in as well. This allows you to understand the people from behind and next to you as well. By relaying the sound as cleanly as possible, you can filter and select what you want to hear yourself.

Oticon Opn S hearing aids

In our assortment, we have four types of Opn S hearing aids, namely Opn S miniRITE, Opn S miniRITE T, Opn S miniRITE R rechargeable, and Opn S Plus Power. Most Opn S hearing aids are RIC devices with a speaker. In contrast, the Opn S Plus Power is a conventional hearing aid that can be customized with a custom earmold or universally with a so-called thin tube. The Opn S mini-rite and mini-rite T hearing aids have a speaker in the ear that can be used for mild to severe hearing loss. It is an unobtrusive hearing solution that can be fitted with a custom earpiece or universal. The devices have a very high dust and water resistance (IP68).

With the Opn S mini-rite hearing aids you can order a charger, so you do not have to put new batteries in your hearing aid at an inconvenient time. Also, using this charger is a much more environmentally friendly alternative to zinc-air batteries. Rechargeable batteries are completely recyclable and only need to be replaced once a year.

New Oticon Opn S technologies

Oticon Opn S hearing aids pair directly with your iPhone and Android phone via an app. In the case of an iPhone, you can even talk on the phone and listen to music through the hearing aid without the interference of other hearing aid accessories. The slogan of the new Oticon Opn S hearing aid is not for nothing: Made for iPhone. Should you lose your hearing aid, your phone remembers where the last connection to your hearing aid was. This increases your chances of finding it again.

Other benefits of the Oticon Opn S include:
- Through accessories, you can receive television or radio wirelessly on your hearing aids.
- You can use both iOS and Android phones to adjust your hearing aids.
- There is both a RIC version and a BTE version of the Opn S. In other words, it can be customized with an earmold, or invisible and universal with a thin speaker and universal dome.

Improvements through software updates

Oticon continues to work on the software, making updates to the software all the time. As a result, the devices are constantly being improved and features added. This is the first hearing aid that no longer whistles and therefore provides no feedback. This is very nice, especially if you order online, as it ensures that you will not need additional visits to an audiologist.

These include noise reduction, wind noise suppression, and speech amplifiers. It also has the ability to move treble to bass. This system is designed for the hearing impaired who have trouble hearing high tones. Instead of amplifying these frequencies, they are moved to an area of where the hearing is better, thus providing less distortion and better understanding. Each version also includes a tinnitus masker.
