1998 Kenia
Eardrop Foundation ProjectAccording to the Novib method, our impact begins with "better education." In partnership with the Eardrop Foundation, we taught audiometry and taught people how to take their own hearing tests, make earpieces and how to repair hearing aids themselves. The focus of this initiative was on children with poor hearing.
2002 Indonesia
Project Bertha Muller School With Former TeacherFor this project, we collected hearing aids for 2 schools for the hearing impaired in Indonesia. This was in combination with materials to make ear impressions and batteries for hearing aids. This was at the time in cooperation with a former teacher at the Bertha Muller School in Utrecht Netherlands, which is now called the Auris Fortaal school in Utrecht.
For every hearing aid sold on our website, we donate to Child Welfare Organization Nepal (CWON). In addition, we collect old hearing aids and refurbish them to then donate to Child Welfare Organization Nepal. In 2021, a group of Online-hearingaids's audiologists will teach audiometry in Nepal in order to teach local people how to set, adjust and repair hearing aids independently.
Audiology trip to Nepal
In March 2023, two audiologists from Online-hearingaids will travel to Nepal. Together with some local activists we will organize a hearing week. During this hearing week we will visit a different village every day. The local population is called upon to come forward if they have hearing problems. Our audiologists will then take hearing tests and set up and donate hearing aids to the locals.
