What I also find surprising is that you can talk to this hearing aid, because it has voice control. With the help of Thrive Virtual Assistant you can give commands about your hearing aid, such as “lower the volume” or “go to program music”, but – and that’s even more interesting – you can also ask completely different questions. How about tomorrow’s weather forecast or the fastest route home? The answer is told by voice in your hearing aid. As a result, I have to look up much less on my phone, which in turn saves me time. Just like the Livio AI, the hearing aid can translate 27 languages (you can hear the translation in your ear), type speech into text (useful for important conversations, e.g. with the doctor) and it keeps track of your steps, movement and interactions. Of course you can also make hands-free calls and stream music with the Starkey Livio EDGE AI. These remain my favorite and most used functions.
It is very convenient that the Starkey Livio EDGE AI is remotely adjustable. For example, I do not have to make an appointment with my hearing care professional for every fitting, but I can submit a request online and it will be arranged. That also saves me a lot of time.
The perfect tool in a busy life
In short, I am very excited about the Starkey Livio EDGE AI. Thanks to the handy functions, such as voice control and the Edge Mode, nobody will actually notice that I am wearing a hearing aid, because one or two taps is enough to give my commands. “Hearing well” does not cost me any extra time with this device, because I hardly have to manually set anything anymore, I can give my commands orally, the device answers my questions, and I no longer have to go to the hearing care professional for adjustments. The Starkey Livio EDGE AI is the perfect tool for me in a busy daily life!
